Structured Trade Finance Associate (Commodity Finance)

Location: Boadilla del Monte, Spain; hybrid working model with some days remote and some days onsite

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end structuring and legal execution of structured trade finance transactions, coordinating clients and internal stakeholders across Risk, Legal, and Middle Office.
• Perform due diligence, including financial modelling, asset and reserve analysis, offtake contract reviews, and annual report analysis.
• Drive origination with Structured Trade colleagues across global offices and Relationship Managers, preparing client presentations and pitches.
• Resolve structuring, accounting, risk, and legal issues throughout transaction lifecycles.
• Lead product development and internal product approval initiatives for the Structured Trade franchise.
• Build specialized commodities expertise and collaborate with other SCIB areas, including ECA Finance, Structured Finance, and Markets.

Requirements

• At least four years of professional experience in structured trade finance, commodity finance, or project finance.
• Knowledge of trade and commodity finance, export finance, or project finance.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish.
• Degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Law, or another relevant discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

• Experience in a law firm or accounting consultancy.
• International experience.
• Legal, accounting, or capital markets expertise.
