Account Manager (Biosimilars) Central California (Biosimilars): Growing biopharmaceutical product sales and market access across hospitals, IDNs, clinics, and physician offices with an accent on contracting strategy, reimbursement, and consultative selling. Focus on developing key-account relationships, executing territory call plans, launching products and programs, and expanding access to oncology and immunology customers.

Location: California; Central California territory covering Los Angeles, San Jose, Fresno, Bakersfield, and San Francisco. The ideal candidate lives near a major airport and must be willing to travel by car and air, including visits to customer sites.

Salary: $120,000–$135,000 per year base, plus a quarterly commission target of $10,000 and a company car.

What you will do

  • Grow sales, market share, and product volume across the assigned Central California territory.
  • Manage hospitals, integrated delivery networks, clinics, physician offices, academic centers, and other key accounts.
  • Develop and execute contracting strategies and ensure effective pull-through with customers and payers.
  • Build relationships with decision makers and communicate the value of the biopharma portfolio using approved resources.
  • Launch new products and programs while improving access and supporting patient care.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, market access, national accounts, and field reimbursement colleagues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a business or science degree is preferred.
  • 3–5 years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience with a strong performance record.
  • Understanding of access and reimbursement, specialty pharmacy providers, IDN and GPO contracting, and payer-access pull-through.
  • Ability to develop call plans, optimize account coverage, and work independently within a matrix team.
  • Strong clinical, product, reimbursement, financial, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • English proficiency is required for speaking, reading, writing, and understanding workplace communications. Customer-site credentialing requirements, which may include COVID-19 and annual influenza vaccinations, must be maintained.

Nice to have

  • At least two years of experience and relationships in biopharma, immunology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, dermatology, or oncology.
  • Medical benefit buy-and-bill experience and knowledge of the contracting process.
  • Experience working with oncology or immunology physician offices, hospitals, IDNs, academic centers, and C-suite stakeholders.
