Material Coordinator (Manufacturing)

Location: Appleton, Wisconsin, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

Salary: $23.23+ per hour, including the $2.00 2nd-shift premium

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company, designs and builds customized fire and emergency response trucks.

What you will do

• Coordinate parts for manufacturing departments and support production throughput across shifts.
• Use the ERP system and computer tools to transact inventory, investigate discrepancies, and track materials.
• Manage warehouse pick schedules, line-side inventory, and material presentation for each truck.
• Locate missing parts, review work orders, verify components, and support cycle-counting activities.
• Operate forklifts, tow motors, tractors, carts, and other material-handling equipment to move parts safely.
• Assist with training, process improvements, housekeeping, and maintenance of a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous warehousing and material-handling experience.
• Ability to work the required hours, maintain excellent attendance, and work overtime as needed.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift, tow motor, tractor, and other powered industrial equipment.
• Ability to lift and manipulate parts or equipment weighing up to 35 pounds and remain standing, sitting, or walking throughout the shift.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a loud work environment.
• Ability to use a computer for inventory tracking and to maintain a clean, safe work area.

Nice to have

• Experience as a Pierce team member or contractor.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems and proficient computer skills.
