Material Support (Manufacturing)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; in-person and on-site attendance required

JLG, an Oshkosh company, develops and supports access equipment including mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, utility vehicles, and accessories.

What you will do

• Identify, label, stock, transport, and record materials and supplies while maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Safely operate forklifts to move materials inside and outside the facility.
• Verify items and quantities against packing slips, process receipts and shipments, and package materials for delivery.
• Pull and verify materials for production orders and respond to internal material requests.
• Prepare bills of lading and delivery documentation, sort items by destination, and match them to purchase orders.
• Use the inventory management system and support scheduled and ad hoc cycle counts.

Requirements

• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to complete forklift training and obtain and maintain a forklift license.
• Ability to learn and understand lean manufacturing concepts.
• Willingness to work overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Regular and reliable in-person, onsite attendance is required.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing or production environment and use required PPE.

Nice to have

• Forklift license.
• Six months of manufacturing industry experience.
