Sr. Writer, Enterprise Storytelling (Financial Communications)

Location: Chicago, IL; hybrid work model with time split between the office and home

Salary: $114,700–$194,900 USD annual base pay, with potential discretionary bonus and equity component.

What you will do

• Shape a clear, consistent enterprise narrative across internal and external communications.
• Translate complex business, industry, and organizational topics into accessible, compelling messaging.
• Develop content for executive communications, enterprise initiatives, thought leadership, brand positioning, and strategic announcements.
• Establish editorial standards, including voice, tone, and storytelling frameworks.
• Partner with senior leaders, communications teams, and subject matter experts on messaging and positioning.
• Provide editorial guidance and coaching to communicators while maintaining narrative consistency across channels, functions, business units, and geographies.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in communications, journalism, content strategy, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience with enterprise-level messaging and executive communications.
• Deep expertise in writing, editing, and narrative development, including executive messaging, articles, scripts, and thought leadership.
• Strong editorial judgment and the ability to advise and influence senior executives on voice, tone, brand positioning, and messaging.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization and build alignment across stakeholders.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.
