Pest Technician (Griffin Pest)

Location: Lansing, United States; onsite field work at residential customer properties

What you will do

• Inspect residential properties to identify pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
• Apply approved chemicals, baits, and traps while following safety standards and regulations.
• Educate customers on pest prevention and provide advice to reduce future infestations.
• Build customer relationships, schedule and confirm appointments, support sales, and develop new customers.
• Maintain, stock, and safely operate pest control equipment and a company-provided service vehicle.
• Work in indoor and outdoor environments, including confined spaces, heights, ladders, scaffolding, and areas with animals, insects, fumes, dust, and chemicals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.
• Clean-shaven face to ensure respirators can seal properly, along with the ability to wear OSHA-compliant PPE.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday and weekends as needed.
• Basic reading, writing, verbal communication, and math skills, including following product-label mixing instructions.
• Required federal, state, and local licenses or certificates; required licensing is covered by the company.
