Pharmacy Technician (Onsite Specialty)

Location: Onsite at 1311 W. Sam Houston Pkwy N., Houston, TX 77043, United States; regular schedule from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM CST.

Salary: $19.43–$32.98 per hour.

What you will do

• Support pharmacists with accurate and timely prescription processing.
• Provide inbound and outbound phone support to patients and medical offices.
• Obtain prescription clarifications and communicate prescription status updates.
• Assist pharmacist callback queues with refill and prescription requests.
• Complete pre-QA activities, data entry, documentation, reports, and email escalations.
• Follow safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, and federal requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of pharmacy technician or medical office experience.
• Current Texas State Board of Pharmacy technician license required.
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute and use computer systems effectively.
• Familiarity with medications commonly used for chronic or debilitating illnesses.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume phone work.

Nice to have

• Previous specialty pharmacy experience, particularly in infusion or oncology.
