Pharmacy Technician (Onsite Specialty Outreach)

Location: Onsite in Houston, Texas, at 1311 W. Sam Houston Pkwy N.; regular schedule from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM CST.

Pay range: $19.43–$32.98 per hour.

What you will do

• Assist pharmacists with accurately processing prescription orders and refill requests.
• Provide customer service through inbound and outbound phone interactions with patients and medical offices.
• Contact medical offices to obtain prescription clarifications and communicate prescription status updates.
• Perform data entry, documentation, pre-QA activities, and report maintenance.
• Support pharmacist callback queues and respond to email escalations.
• Follow safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, and federal regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of pharmacy technician or medical-office experience, including billing, coding, office assistance, or prior authorization/certification.
• Current Texas State Board of Pharmacy pharmacy technician license required.
• Familiarity with medications used to treat chronic or debilitating illnesses.
• Strong computer skills, accurate data entry, and typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
• Ability to manage high-volume phone work while maintaining attention to detail and a professional demeanor.

Nice to have

• Previous specialty pharmacy experience, particularly in infusion or oncology.
