Manager, Quality Validation Engineering

Location: New York, NY; in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The role includes domestic and international travel of up to 40%.

Base salary: $132,000–$160,000 per year, depending on location, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Lead tooling validation from pilot production through mass production and optimize manufacturing processes using quality data and SPC.
• Own qualification and inspection plans, including IQ, OQ, PQ, and fill-line qualification at third-party manufacturers.
• Lead commissioning, qualification, validation, and startup of manufacturing and packaging equipment from FAT through SAT and commercial production.
• Deploy process mapping, FMEA, control plans, MSA/GR&R, SPC, and DOE across the supply chain.
• Manage supplier audits, CAPAs, performance metrics, failure analysis, and root-cause investigations.
• Partner with R&D, Package Engineering, Program Management, Design, Supply Chain, and global suppliers to improve product quality, manufacturability, cost, and launch readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, or Quality Assurance, preferably in consumer goods.
• Knowledge of polymer mechanical properties and packaging components such as aerosols, pumps, closures, bottles, and tubes.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding, EBM, and ISBM technologies.
• Experience with tolerance and stack analysis, statistical manufacturing analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to defend technical recommendations across cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with LabVIEW, MATLAB, Minitab, or similar tools.
