Manager, Quality Validation Engineering

Location: New York, NY, United States; in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Travel domestically and internationally up to 40%.

Base salary: $132,000–$160,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead quality validation for new soft and hard products, tooling, components, packaging, and finished goods from pilot through mass production.
• Develop qualification and inspection plans, including IQ, OQ, PQ, fill-line qualification, and equipment validation from FAT through SAT and commercial production.
• Apply process mapping, FMEA, control plans, MSA/GR&R, SPC, DOE, and quality data to improve manufacturing consistency and compliance.
• Expand testing capabilities, create product and package test plans, and analyze results against requirements.
• Lead supplier audits, CAPAs, failure analysis, root cause investigations, and supplier performance improvement.
• Partner with R&D, Package Engineering, Product Design Engineering, Supply Chain, and global manufacturing partners on launches, manufacturability, risk mitigation, and cost reduction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, or Quality Assurance, preferably in consumer goods.
• Knowledge of polymer mechanical properties and packaging components such as aerosols, pumps, closures, bottles, and tubes.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding, EBM, and ISBM technologies.
• Experience with tolerance and stack analysis, statistical analysis in manufacturing, and data-driven decision-making.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to defend technical recommendations with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with LabVIEW, MATLAB, Minitab, or similar tools.
