TL;DR
Manager, Fund Administration & Accounting (FA&A) (Private Equity): Reviewing and overseeing fund accounting, NAV packages, capital activity, fee calculations, and investor reporting for private equity funds and co-investment vehicles with an accent on third-party administrator oversight, technical accounting guidance, and fund lifecycle operations. Focus on resolving complex accounting discrepancies, designing oversight controls, supporting governance and compliance activities, and improving reporting processes.

Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States; hybrid work with up to one day per week from home.

Base salary for Maryland: $87,000–$148,000 per year, plus potential discretionary bonus.

What you will do

  • Review monthly and quarterly NAVs and fund accounting deliverables prepared by third-party administrators.
  • Review capital calls, distributions, expense allocations, management fee calculations, waterfall calculations, and investor reporting packages.
  • Support private equity funds and co-investment vehicles throughout launches, capital activity, reporting, audits, and service provider coordination.
  • Investigate discrepancies, provide technical accounting and reporting guidance, and support resolution of complex issues.
  • Contribute to governance, valuation, liquidity, disclosure, compliance, control, and process improvement activities.
  • Support cross-functional projects, ad hoc analyses, policy updates, and training for internal teams and service providers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with fund accounting deliverables, including NAV packages, capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting.
  • Experience with private equity funds at an alternative fund administrator or CPA firm is strongly preferred.
  • Applicants must have US work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship.
  • FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
