What you will do
- Oversee quarterly financial statements, investor capital statements, general ledger support schedules, and related investor deliverables.
- Review capital call and distribution notices, ensuring calculations comply with fund operating agreements.
- Calculate and review complex waterfall structures, carried interest, management fees, and fund liquidity requests.
- Interpret operating agreements and investment agreements, complete regulatory compliance forms, and support audit procedures.
- Manage relationships with general partners, clients, auditors, internal teams, and management, serving as an escalation point.
- Supervise, coach, train, and provide technical guidance to seniors and associates while supporting business development activities.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or a related field.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience, including coaching, performance management, training, talent acquisition, and retention.
- Experience with real estate fund accounting; property-level accounting exposure is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; an MBA or MSA is strongly preferred.
- Experience applying investment company accounting guidance under ASC 946.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience with Investran, Yardi, or other private equity fund accounting software; CPA licensure is strongly preferred.
