Senior Data Engineer

Location: Remote - Nationwide within the United States. Applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; visa sponsorship, including CPT/OPT sponsorship, is not available.

Base salary: $105,700–$149,275 per year, with eligibility for a bonus program.

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize scalable data and file ingestion frameworks for performance and reliability.
• Translate data requirements from business stakeholders, analysts, architects, testers, and cross-functional teams into AWS-based technical solutions.
• Implement data governance and security best practices while troubleshooting data integrity and performance issues.
• Participate in code reviews, coding standards, architectural decisions, and strategic data application improvements.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process automation and improvements to data frameworks.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent training and experience.
• 4–6 years of data engineering experience designing and implementing scalable ingestion frameworks.
• Proficiency in ETL development with Python, PySpark, Hadoop, and Spark.
• Strong SQL knowledge and relational database experience with PostgreSQL, Redshift, MySQL, or a comparable database.
• Hands-on AWS experience with DynamoDB, EMR Serverless, Lambda, and related technologies.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, data warehousing, Agile methodology, and Scrum.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience with JIRA, DevOps, CI/CD, QuickSight, or Copilot.
