Lead HRIS Analyst (Workday)

Location: Illinois, United States; remote or hybrid

Salary: $111,000–$167,000 annually, plus an annual performance bonus and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Lead complex, cross-functional HRIS initiatives, including Workday functionality, module implementations, and major enhancements.
• Own the HRIS roadmap and align system strategy with HR, business, and senior stakeholder priorities.
• Serve as the primary Workday subject matter expert for configuration, optimization, and best practices across HR domains.
• Translate business requirements into scalable solutions while identifying risks, dependencies, and downstream impacts.
• Resolve complex HRIS issues through root cause analysis, system design decisions, and long-term corrective solutions.
• Support enterprise HR programs, integrations, upgrades, security maintenance, documentation, reporting frameworks, and Workday Extend application delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Workday experience, including advanced knowledge of at least two Workday modules.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience leading complex HRIS or enterprise system initiatives.
• Strong understanding of HR processes, data governance, security concepts, and systems architecture.
• Experience with reporting, testing, security design, process automation, integrations, and system support.
• Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, project leadership, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Workday Extend and Workday AI capabilities.
• Experience with system implementations in a global or fast-paced technology environment.
• Working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and other regional data privacy regulations in HR systems.
