Software Engineer (iGaming)

Light & Wonder develops gaming and iGaming products, including slot-machine game software.

What you will do

• Design, code, integrate, test, and debug game software for slot machines.
• Work with platform hardware, libraries, operating systems, development tools, and internal toolsets.
• Contribute to game design and scheduling as they relate to software implementation.
• Communicate technical requirements, maintain engineering documentation, and share platform knowledge.
• Collaborate with software quality assurance engineers to support regulatory compliance and timely releases.
• Use Claude Code and Cowork for coding, debugging, test writing, and documentation while reviewing AI-generated output for incorrect logic, invented APIs, and missed edge cases.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in C# or C++ and a strong understanding of object-oriented design.
• Experience with 2D and 3D graphics programming.
• Familiarity with Windows programming environments, Unity, Visual Studio, IDEs, compilers, debuggers, profilers, and version control systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication, multitasking, collaboration, and practical daily experience with AI coding assistants.

Nice to have

• Unity or Godot experience.
• Gaming industry experience.
