Pest Control Technician (Pest Control)

Location: Byron Center, Michigan, United States; field work at residential customer properties, both indoors and outdoors

What you will do

• Inspect residential properties for pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
• Identify pests and apply approved chemicals, baits, and traps in accordance with safety standards.
• Educate customers on pest prevention and recommend ways to reduce future infestations.
• Build customer relationships, schedule appointments, support sales to existing customers, and expand services to new customers.
• Maintain, stock, and safely operate pest control equipment and a company-provided service vehicle.
• Follow federal, state, and local regulations for pest control products and safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.
• Clean-shaven face to ensure that respirators can seal properly.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday and weekends as needed.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and around insects, animals, chemicals, mechanical equipment, electrical current, heights, and scaffolding.
• Basic reading, writing, verbal communication, and math skills; willingness to learn all areas of pest control.
