Engineering Tech Lead (Fullstack)

What you will do

• Lead projects end-to-end from technical design through deployment, production support, UAT, and continuous improvement.
• Spend approximately 40–50% of the role coding while guiding architecture, implementation, and delivery.
• Drive code quality through reviews, engineering best practices, performance optimization, and scalable architecture.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical direction on design and implementation decisions.
• Coordinate with product managers, designers, stakeholders, offshore teams, and vendors to resolve dependencies and maintain delivery.
• Adopt AI-assisted development tools and identify automation opportunities in testing, documentation, and application development.

Requirements

• Strong full-stack development experience with React or Angular and Node, Java, or Python.
• Experience building microservices and REST/JSON APIs.
• Strong experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS, plus SQL and database expertise.
• 12+ years of software development experience and 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship and transfer of sponsorship are unavailable.

Nice to have

• Experience using GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar AI tools in development workflows.
• Experience building data-driven or intelligent features.
• Background in retail or omni-channel environments.
