What you will do

  • Research the significance of genomic variants and genes through literature and data review.
  • Classify variant and gene-disease associations and support genomic knowledge curation projects.
  • Share curated genomic knowledge with the research and clinical community.
  • Assist laboratories with data submissions to ClinVar and help resolve differences between submitters' variant interpretations.
  • Support disease-specific Expert Panels, Clinical Domain Working Groups, research projects, and publications.
  • Assist in developing software tools that support gene and variant curation.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in a scientific field.
  • At least two years of experience as a Clinical Genomics Assistant or in a related role.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects independently.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a local hirify.global team and an international network of laboratories, disease experts, and data sources.
  • Ability to work in the Cambridge office at least 2–3 days per week.
  • Availability to start as soon as possible or by August 2026, with a minimum two-year commitment.
