Salary: $110,000–$114,000 annually

What you will do

• Interpret clinical diagnostic testing results in accordance with established SOPs.
• Assess and classify genomic variants using current guidelines.
• Review and summarize relevant medical literature and clinical information.
• Independently draft clear and accurate clinical testing reports while meeting quality and turnaround requirements.
• Provide input on process improvements, reporting guidelines, and training for new Clinical Genomic Scientists.
• Collaborate with colleagues and internal departments to troubleshoot and resolve or escalate technical issues.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related scientific field; or a relevant master's degree in Genetic Counseling, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a similar discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in genetics literature review, variant classification, genetic evidence summary writing, clinical report drafting, or sequencing result analysis.
• Strong working knowledge of human genetics, diagnostic genetic testing concepts, and current theories and principles of genetics.
• Ability to understand and evaluate genetic data and scientific literature.
• Familiarity with next-generation sequencing, Sanger sequencing, microarray, and MLPA.
• Must be able to work remotely from the United States.
