Litigation & Employment Counsel

Location: San Francisco, California, United States. Individuals are expected to work from a hirify.global office 3+ days a week. A relocation stipend may be available for relocation to a hirify.global hub in Denver, San Francisco, Nashville, or Santiago.

On-target earnings or base salary: $229,000–$269,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Manage all aspects of litigation and related matters, including subpoenas and demands.
• Conduct factual investigations, case and exposure analyses, and review pleadings and litigation documents.
• Lead discovery, fact gathering, and witness preparation.
• Work with outside counsel to develop and implement efficient litigation strategies.
• Advise operations teams and People/HR on compliance, employment matters, and litigation risk.
• Partner cross-functionally to identify product and process improvements and develop expertise in the Fair Credit Reporting Act and related state laws.

Requirements

• JD degree and active California bar admission in good standing.
• 5+ years of substantive litigation experience, including employment matters.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently with strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and clear stakeholder communication.
• Pragmatic approach to assessing legal risk in the context of business goals.
• Interest in new technologies and leveraging AI.

• Experience with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, criminal law, or international employment counseling.
