Senior Credit Risk Officer

What you will do

• Monitor lending teams and commercial banking portfolios for exception reporting, past-due accounts, loan agreement compliance, trends, and emerging credit risks.
• Review and approve commercial banking credit requests, modifications, amendments, and waivers across loans, treasury management, global trader services, and other exposures.
• Evaluate loan structures, product types, and credit levels, approving credit risks up to $20 million with limited oversight.
• Verify that loan packages meet credit standards and provide guidance to improve their completeness, accuracy, and quality.
• Support the identification of content for credit education programs and promote efficient credit risk delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
• 10+ years of banking experience, including formal credit training or equivalent knowledge of credit analysis and secured lending.
• Experience managing loan portfolios and approving credit risks through economic cycles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
