Production Management Trainee (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Complete an approximately eight- to ten-month structured training program in production supervision, plant operations, machinery, and manufacturing processes.
• Assist plant management with daily operations, staffing supervision, production planning, and equipment management.
• Manage production throughput and the efficient use of equipment and materials while following safety procedures.
• Apply statistical process methods and quality tools, including diagrams, flow charts, run charts, and control charts, to optimize production.
• Enforce standard operating procedures and support the training and development of plant staff.
• Oversee production teams, administer labor contracts, and foster positive workplace relations in union and nonunion plants.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of manufacturing or production operations experience, including machinery setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• One or more years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, technical problem-solving ability, and commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills, including the ability to coach and motivate production teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while multitasking, maintaining attention to detail, and meeting deadlines.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, industrial technology, or a related field.
