Provides cancer care through Maryland Oncology Hematology, with more than 15 locations across Maryland and Washington, DC.

What you will do

• Prepare medication orders and compound or admix chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy IV medications under professional supervision.
• Verify order completeness, patient information, physician authorization, and insurance approval.
• Calculate dosage volumes, maintain medication labels and records, and complete pharmacy data entry and billing preparation.
• Maintain controlled-drug documentation, lot numbers, temperature logs, inventory records, and patient assistance drug logs.
• Receive, shelve, order, and monitor medications and supplies, supporting adequate stock across departments.
• Clean and maintain the admixture area, hood, and pharmacy department in accordance with safety, sanitation, OSHA, and internal guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to five years of pharmacy experience with IV skills.
• Ability to perform accurate dosage calculations and medication preparation.
• Ability to work with patients and handle potential exposure to toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and chemotherapeutic agents.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

Nice to have

• IV certification.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or compliance with applicable State Pharmacy Board requirements.
