Principal Engineer (Intrinsic Safety)

Location: Buxton, United Kingdom; hybrid, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm with flexibility

What you will do

• Lead and deliver ATEX, UKEx, and IECEx certification activities in accordance with ISO 17025 and ISO 17065.
• Act as a technical authority for clients and internal teams on certification requirements.
• Support the Engineering Manager with team performance, utilisation targets, and project delivery across time, cost, and scope.
• Drive continuous improvement across certification processes to increase efficiency and client value.
• Prepare quotations, review certifications, and build relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Electronics.
• Experience with ATEX, UKEx, and IECEx certification.
• Full UK driving licence.

Nice to have

• Experience supervising engineers.
• Experience with target setting and measurement.
