Electrical Product Safety Engineer

Location: Buxton, United Kingdom; laboratory and client-site work. Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 9:00–17:00.

What you will do

• Conduct electrical product safety testing in laboratories and on client sites.
• Ensure testing complies with established procedures, relevant standards, and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements.
• Prepare test reports and certification documentation.
• Manage workloads to meet project timelines, budgets, and departmental targets.
• Support calibration and maintenance of test equipment.
• Maintain health and safety, housekeeping, quality-system, Code of Integrity, and EDI standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Safety Engineer or in a similar relevant-industry role.
• Recent experience using test and measuring equipment, such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent qualification.
• Alternatively, an HNC/HND in electrical engineering with relevant work experience.

Nice to have

• Full driving licence for use in the UK.
• Familiarity with EU and UK safety directives.
