Environmental Technician - Mi-Tech Services, Inc.

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin, United States. Overnight travel is required.

What you will do

• Monitor landfill gas and water conditions.
• Collect water and soil samples and perform materials testing.
• Evaluate field and laboratory data and prepare technical reports.
• Screen projects for wetlands, endangered species, stormwater, and other environmental concerns.
• Prepare environmental permit applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in environmental science or a related field such as hydrology, geology, water resources, or natural resource management.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license for the vehicles operated and an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and walk at least one mile.
• Availability for required overnight travel.

Nice to have

• Experience with ESRI GIS.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
