What you will do

• Inspect and monitor utility construction projects involving natural gas, electric, telecommunications, and municipal infrastructure.
• Verify that construction activities comply with safety regulations, approved plans, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Represent utility or facility owners as a third-party inspector.
• Protect public safety, infrastructure integrity, and project quality.
• Work independently in the field and navigate multiple locations daily.
• Document field activities using mobile technology and electronic reporting systems.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of utility safety practices, excavation standards, and damage prevention requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and utility maps.
• Comfort working independently in field environments and traveling between multiple daily locations.
• Experience or knowledge in natural gas, electric, telecommunications, or municipal utility construction is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with mobile technology and electronic reporting systems is preferred but not required.
• Experience with Trimble or Topcon GPS instruments is preferred but not required.
