Environmental Inspector

Location: Port Washington, Wisconsin; full-time onsite at a project site in Ozaukee County, Southeast Wisconsin

What you will do

• Support environmental compliance and monitoring activities related to groundwater, storm water, landfills, and other natural resources.
• Promote HSEQ policies, procedures, regulatory compliance, and continual improvement objectives.
• Identify and communicate workplace hazards and environmental risks.
• Help correct or escalate unsafe and nonconforming actions or conditions.
• Work independently, follow established guidelines, and meet strict deadlines at a construction project site.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or a related discipline such as water resources, natural resource management, soil resources, hydrology, chemistry, or geology.
• 0–2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to walk at least one-half mile and work in all weather conditions.
• 40-hour HazWoper certification or the ability to obtain it.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license for the vehicles driven and an acceptable driving record.
