Pest Control Technician

What you will do

• Inspect residential properties for pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
• Apply approved chemicals, baits, traps, and other pest control products according to safety standards.
• Educate customers on pest prevention and recommend ways to reduce future infestations.
• Build customer relationships, schedule and confirm appointments, support sales to existing customers, and expand services to new customers.
• Maintain and stock pest control equipment and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle.
• Follow all applicable federal, state, and local pest control and safety regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license from the state of residence.
• Ability to obtain licenses and certificates required by applicable regulations; required credentials are covered by the employer.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday and weekends as needed.
• Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills, plus basic math skills for following product-mixing instructions.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and varied indoor and outdoor conditions, including around animals, insects, chemicals, heights, mechanical equipment, and electrical current, while using required PPE.
