Sr. Content Strategist, Patient Education (AI)

Location: Newark, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $80,000–$105,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary company bonus.

What you will do

• Define editorial roadmaps, content themes, and priorities for consumer health and patient education products.
• Use agentic AI for content governance, clinical auditing, asset mapping, metadata management, summarization, and outdated-content detection.
• Collaborate with clients, prospects, UX, Product, Knowledge Engineering, Search, and technical teams to create content for self-service use cases, EMR integrations, and clinical workflows.
• Align content and metadata models to support FHIR-ready interoperability and AI-driven clinical decision support.
• Lead AI enablement, training, user acceptance testing, and product integration for content teams and freelancers.
• Manage content intake and prioritization while improving production workflows, delivery speed, automation, and scale.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Health, Health Education, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in content strategy or patient education, preferably in B2C health or wellness, healthcare, or HealthIT.
• Knowledge of patient education content strategy across consumers, providers, payers, and health IT users.
• Understanding of AI methodologies, including prompt engineering, RAG-optimized response systems, and agentic AI.
• Proficiency with content management, project management, client management, and analytics tools.
• Ability to translate complex clinical concepts into clear, jargon-free education and collaborate with clinical, editorial, and technical specialists.
