Senior Enterprise Information Architect (AI)

Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States; hybrid work with up to three days per week from home

Base salary: $121,000–$206,000 annually for Maryland, Colorado, Washington, and remote workers. Other ranges apply to Washington, D.C., New York, and California.

What you will do

• Build, govern, and continuously evolve enterprise logical and physical data models supporting enterprise data products.
• Define and improve architecture processes, standards, artifacts, and data modeling practices.
• Review architecture decisions with departmental review boards and guide sound outcomes across projects.
• Lead reviews of in-flight projects, helping technical leads resolve complex design challenges.
• Document solution architecture artifacts and maintain them in the enterprise architecture library.
• Balance tactical requirements with strategic goals while coordinating with enterprise architects and business and technology stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent education and experience, plus 5+ years in data-intensive roles.
• Proven experience defining, implementing, and sustaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise data products.
• Hands-on experience designing scalable, high-performing models for structured and unstructured data in cloud ecosystems such as Snowflake and AWS.
• Expertise in data mapping, lineage, classification, cataloging, enterprise data standards, and controls.
• Proficiency with data modeling tools such as SQLDBM, Hackolade, or similar tools, including central enterprise model repository management.
• Experience supporting data architecture for advanced analytics, AI applications, or intelligent data products, with strong collaboration and communication skills.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of data architecture experience in asset management or related financial services.
• Experience in highly regulated, data-intensive environments with governance, risk, and control requirements.
• Familiarity with data architecture patterns for AI/ML use cases, semantic consistency, and enterprise-scale information reuse.
