Manager, External Audit Compliance

Location: Remote from anywhere in the Continental United States; availability for Pacific Time business hours required. Travel may be required for business purposes.

Salary: $87,700–$157,800 per year

What you will do

• Lead a team of audit coordinators supporting regulatory audits and examinations.
• Oversee audit readiness, coordination, documentation, and stakeholder engagement across assigned markets.
• Partner with health plan leadership, Operations, Compliance, and business subject matter experts throughout the audit lifecycle.
• Monitor audit timelines, deliverables, risks, and escalations, and present status updates and outcomes to leadership.
• Drive consistent audit management processes, continuous improvement, audit strategies, and knowledge sharing.
• Mentor team members, balance workloads, and allocate resources effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Compliance, Law, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of compliance experience, preferably in healthcare.
• 2+ years of Medicaid, Medicare, or Commercial Managed Care experience.
• Experience interacting effectively with federal and state regulatory agencies in a managed care or insurance environment is preferred.
• Availability to work Pacific Time business hours and travel as needed for business purposes.

• Master’s degree.
• Juris Doctor degree.
