Electrical Coordinator

What you will do

• Design electrical lighting, power, and building systems using established engineering techniques.
• Develop recommendations directly with project owners.
• Review electrical documents for conflicts with architectural and other engineering disciplines.
• Write and edit electrical specifications and select equipment and electrical devices.
• Handle contract administration, including field inspections and conflict resolution.
• Supervise Electrical CAD Technicians and coordinate project design; support project management for small and mid-size projects when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• At least 2 years of experience designing electrical lighting, power, and systems for building projects.
• Strong computer skills with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI, and Easy Power.
• Desire to pursue professional growth and obtain engineering registration.
• Active participation in an employee-owned culture.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• EIT certificate; candidates hired without an EIT will be titled Coordinator and expected to obtain the certificate for career progression.
• Experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
• Interest or experience in sustainable design and LEED.
