Director & Associate Counsel

What you will do

• Negotiate and manage the sale, leasing, and financing of aviation assets from letters of intent through definitive transaction documents.
• Manage deal teams supporting sales, trading, technical, and financing activities.
• Identify and resolve legal issues while managing contract compliance, lease defaults, restructurings, aircraft repossessions, litigation, and bankruptcy matters.
• Negotiate lease and asset-management documentation, including redelivery and technical agreements.
• Coordinate external counsel across foreign jurisdictions to improve efficiency and control legal costs.

Requirements

• Qualified to practice law in the United States, England and Wales, or Ireland.
• At least 6 years of international legal experience in the aviation leasing industry preferred.
• Strong commercial judgment, decision-making, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

• Knowledge of different cultures and the ability to communicate effectively in more than one language.
