Principal, Financial & Planning – RAC Expense FP&A

What you will do

• Own RAC expense forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and long-range planning across major operating expense categories.
• Build and enhance financial models for labor, benefits, fleet and delivery, insurance reserves, vendor spend, and other store operating expenses.
• Prepare monthly close, forecast, budget, and executive-level analyses explaining performance against plan, forecast, prior year, and latest outlook.
• Partner with Operations, Accounting, HR, Risk, Marketing, Digital Technology, Procurement, and Finance to validate assumptions and improve data accuracy.
• Identify and communicate expense risks, cost-saving opportunities, productivity trends, and material issues.
• Improve reporting discipline, documentation, model governance, and scalable processes while supporting strategic business cases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field.
• 4+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, operations finance, accounting, or a related analytical role.
• Strong experience in expense forecasting, variance analysis, budgeting, and operating expense or business-unit P&L ownership.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Strong analytical judgment, communication, organization, and cross-functional business-partnering skills.
• Authorization to work for any employer in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• MBA, CPA, or CFA designation.
• Experience with enterprise planning, reporting, ERP, or business intelligence tools.
• Familiarity with Oracle, EPM, Power BI, or similar systems.
