Associate Category Manager

Location: Remote, Watsonville, CA

Salary: $118,000–$135,000 per year

What you will do

• Produce monthly, quarterly, account, and meeting reports, including dashboards and charts.
• Analyze syndicated, panel, retailer, and internal data to identify sales patterns, market opportunities, and performance trends.
• Prepare retailer-specific business reviews for line reviews, business development meetings, and competitive comparisons.
• Track promotional events, in-store changes, and new product launches.
• Partner with business intelligence teams on data governance, reporting database troubleshooting, data cleanup, and quality assurance.
• Communicate findings and explain metrics, data sources, and reporting challenges to sales directors, managers, and business developers.

Requirements

• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, charting, dashboards, and pivot tables.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with data visualization tools.
• Ability to deliver accurate, timely written and visual reporting while managing multiple projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including collaboration across multiple time zones.
• Self-motivation and the ability to manage responsibilities independently in a remote team.
• BA/BS in Business, Data Science, Computer Technology, Statistics, or a related field, or four years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination.

Nice to have

• Experience with syndicated data platforms such as SPINS and Numerator.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets collaboration.
• Familiarity with Google Gemini.
