Business Intelligence Analyst

Location: Remote

Starting base salary: $98,000–$125,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and build clear, correct, and reusable data models using SQL.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports for company-wide business metrics and decision-making.
• Conduct ad hoc and recurring analyses for high-priority stakeholder questions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand data domains, reporting needs, and success metrics.
• Improve data quality, documentation, self-service BI, and reporting consistency as the function scales.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Intermediate-to-advanced SQL, including joins, common table expressions, and window or analytic functions.
• Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Looker, DOMO, or Power BI.
• Basic statistics knowledge, including experiment design, hypothesis testing, statistical significance, probability, and distributions.
• Ability to translate business intelligence needs into technical execution and clear presentations.
• Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical information to non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt for data transformation, testing, and documentation.
• Experience with healthcare data or other complex, regulated data environments.
• Experience in a high-growth environment.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
• Understanding of effective data modeling strategies and implementations.
