Vice President, Investor Relations (Private Markets)

Location: Chicago, IL, United States; regular in-person engagement and travel required.

Salary: $164,600–$288,000 USD base pay annually, plus a discretionary bonus that may include equity.

What you will do

• Serve as a primary point of contact for financial advisors, wealth partners, and high-net-worth clients.
• Build relationships through advisor engagement, client conversations, portfolio reviews, education sessions, and travel.
• Support capital-raising efforts, maintain the opportunity pipeline, and identify opportunities to deepen wealth-manager relationships.
• Respond to investor and internal partner requests and coordinate client servicing across investment, operations, product, fund administration, sales, and relationship teams.
• Create investor presentations, commentary, and client materials, translating complex strategies into clear advisor-facing messaging.
• Support product development, fund launches, positioning, go-to-market initiatives, and communication about performance and market developments.

Requirements

• 6–10+ years of experience in investor relations, alternatives sales, or private-markets fundraising.
• Strong understanding of alternatives, particularly private equity, private credit, and secondaries.
• Experience covering wealth or intermediary channels.
• Willingness to travel and build relationships in person.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders with a hands-on approach.
