Staff React Engineer (Healthcare)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, United States; work-from-home options are available.

Salary: $146,200–$282,600 annually, varying by U.S. work location, knowledge, position level, and experience.

What you will do

• Design and lead the architecture of a React-based reporting platform hosted in Snowflake.
• Establish standards for component patterns, data fetching, state management, and performance.
• Evaluate Snowflake-hosted applications, Snowpark, API layers, and other integration approaches.
• Partner with data engineering, analytics engineering, and BI teams to migrate Tableau dashboards to React.
• Mentor and train engineers, BI developers, and analysts through reviews, workshops, and pair programming.
• Build AI-assisted engineering tools, custom agents, and guardrails for consistent development.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript or JavaScript, and modern front-end tooling.
• Strong data visualization and charting skills with tools such as D3, Recharts, or Highcharts.
• Experience architecting front-end platforms used by multiple teams.
• Hands-on experience building or customizing AI-powered developer tools, coding assistants, agents, MCP integrations, or internal LLM tooling.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 5+ years focused on React and front-end architecture; a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse experience.
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical enablement programs.
• Experience migrating Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar legacy BI tools to custom-built solutions.
