Chief Risk Officer (Investment Management)

Base salary: $250,000–$275,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the enterprise-wide risk management function across financial, operational, ICT, strategic, reputational, regulatory, and emerging risks.
• Provide independent risk advice to the Board, risk committees, and senior management.
• Design, implement, oversee, and maintain the enterprise risk management framework and related policies.
• Oversee fiduciary investment risks, client mandates, risk limits, escalation protocols, and risk events.
• Prepare quarterly and ad hoc risk reports, Board-level materials, and annual assessments of the risk management system and internal controls.
• Lead and develop the risk management function, manage direct reports, and coordinate risk matters with the parent organization.

Requirements

• 10+ years of enterprise risk management experience in investment advisory, asset management, insurance, or other regulated financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree or professional risk credentials is preferred.
• Strong understanding of enterprise risk, fiduciary investment risk, governance frameworks, and regulatory expectations.
• Experience engaging with Boards, risk committees, and senior executives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, reporting, and decision-making skills.
• Strong professional integrity, maturity, independence, and ability to work under pressure and changing priorities.
