Director, SOX

Location: Chicago, IL; hybrid work with 1–3 days per week on-site and remaining days remote

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and location

What you will do

• Lead annual SOX control scoping and planning for the U.S. Region.
• Oversee internal controls over financial reporting and regulatory reporting programs.
• Assess control, operational, business, and financial reporting risks and coordinate issue resolution.
• Lead remediation of control gaps and audit findings with business units and control owners.
• Support control design for new products, system implementations, and process changes.
• Coordinate annual SOX and internal control activities with internal and external auditors while advising senior leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Current Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation in good standing.
• Experience with financial reporting, internal controls, SOX compliance, regulatory reporting, and accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, risk assessment, issue resolution, communication, and stakeholder relationship management skills.
• Legal eligibility to work in the specified U.S. location is required.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
