Director, Portfolio Manager - Project Finance and Infrastructure

Location: Cleveland, Ohio; available at any Huntington corporate office location. Workplace type: Office.

Salary: $93,000–$217,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an applicable incentive compensation plan.

What you will do

• Underwrite project finance transactions, refinancings, and amendments, including due diligence, structuring, pricing, capital allocation, and credit policy application.
• Analyze financial statements, valuations, projections, stress tests, industry dynamics, business plans, risks, and mitigants.
• Manage a portfolio of clients and oversee annual reviews, renewals, amendments, waivers, credit approvals, and quarterly risk ratings.
• Develop portfolio management solutions, manage watchlist clients, and safeguard the operational and financial performance of financed renewable energy projects.
• Negotiate credit-related legal documentation and coordinate with internal and external counsel.
• Train and mentor Associate Directors, Associates, and Analysts and contribute to Analyst performance reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, economics, or accounting, with high academic achievement.
• 7+ years of experience in project finance underwriting, credit, or portfolio management in the power and renewables sector.
• Financial modeling competence and detailed knowledge of renewable energy project design, operations and maintenance, power purchase agreements, and project finance.
• Strong knowledge of corporate banking credit, cash flow analysis, underwriting guidelines, and the US project finance industry.
• Ability to independently analyze credits, make risk-rating recommendations, communicate findings clearly, and deliver professional presentations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, negotiation, and project management skills.

Nice to have

• MBA, CFA or progress toward the CFA Charter, or CPA.
• Experience in a regulated financial institution and knowledge of lending and portfolio management policies.
• Experience managing multiple clients or major initiatives and complex, leveraged, high-touch, or sensitive relationships.
