Director, Portfolio Manager - Project Finance and Infrastructure

Location: Cleveland, OH; available at any hirify.global corporate office location. Workplace type: Office.

Salary: $93,000–$217,000 annual base compensation, plus applicable incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Underwrite new project finance transactions, refinancings, and amendments, including due diligence, structuring, pricing, capital allocation, and credit policy application.
• Analyze financial statements, valuations, projections, stress tests, business plans, industry dynamics, risks, and mitigants.
• Manage a complex client portfolio, including annual reviews, renewals, amendments, waivers, ancillary credit approvals, and quarterly risk ratings.
• Develop portfolio management recommendations, manage watchlist clients, and protect the operational and financial performance of financed renewable energy projects.
• Negotiate credit-event documentation and coordinate with internal and external counsel to ensure approved terms are accurately reflected.
• Train and mentor Associate Directors, Associates, and Analysts, and participate in Analyst performance reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, economics, or accounting, with high academic achievement.
• 7+ years of experience in underwriting, credit, or portfolio management in Project Finance for the power and renewables sector, with competence in financial modeling.
• Detailed knowledge of renewable energy project design, functioning, operations and maintenance, power purchase agreements, and renewable energy project finance.
• Ability to perform independent credit analysis and communicate findings concisely.
• Strong critical-thinking, analytical, attention-to-detail, accuracy, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Strong knowledge of corporate banking credits, cash flow analysis, and underwriting guidelines.
• In-depth knowledge of the US Project Finance industry.
• MBA, CFA or progress toward the CFA Charter, or CPA.
• Experience in a regulated financial institution with a strong understanding of organizational lending and portfolio management policies and objectives.
• Advanced deal execution or project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple clients or major initiatives.
• Ability to create and deliver professional presentations.
