Chemical Process Technician

What you will do

• Process, purify, and chemically fabricate products and compounds through sequential batch operations.
• Operate reactors, tanks, pumps, mixers, meters, valves, hoses, and other production equipment.
• Handle, weigh, measure, package, label, and box liquid and solid chemicals and finished products.
• Collect process samples and coordinate with laboratory personnel for analysis.
• Maintain batch tickets, packaging sheets, equipment inspection records, calibration logs, and inventory records.
• Follow HSE, hazardous waste, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHA 18001, housekeeping, and 5S requirements; communicate operational issues and train other operators as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent and at least two years of applicable experience.
• Experience in specialty chemical manufacturing and batch processes is required; chemical manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
• Availability to work from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information clearly to engineering, sales, and technical staff.
• Ability to complete HSE training covering hazardous waste management, emergency response, and hazard communication.

Nice to have

• Experience in a clean-room environment.
• Forklift certification.
• Hazardous Waste Operations certification.
