Senior Medical Science Liaison (Inborn Errors of Metabolism)

Location: United States - Remote. Field-based territory covering NJ, DE, DC, MD, VA, NC, and SC, with approximately 60% travel in the region and nationally and overnight travel as needed.

Annual salary: $195,600–$241,600 USD, plus eligibility for an annual bonus and equity incentives.

What you will do

• Deliver fair-balanced scientific presentations and respond to unsolicited medical information requests in academic, community, and healthcare settings.
• Develop and execute US territory and KOL engagement plans supporting scientific education and impactful medical engagement.
• Gather and report clinical and medical insights that inform medical positions, research and development, and field strategy.
• Support investigator-initiated trials, collaborative research, clinical trial site identification, and patient enrollment initiatives.
• Represent medical affairs at scientific conferences, engage KOLs, and provide post-congress insights and competitive intelligence.
• Lead internal projects and collaborate with clinical operations, field medical leadership, and other cross-functional partners.

Requirements

• Terminal degree such as MD, PhD, or PharmD in a clinical or medical specialty, plus at least 2 years of MSL experience.
• Alternatively, an advanced degree such as MS, MSN, or MPH with at least 5 years of related MSL experience will be considered.
• Experience presenting clinical and scientific information in virtual and live settings.
• Understanding of healthcare delivery systems, regional medical care, rare disease, and FDA requirements for product promotion and scientific exchange.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage an individual territory, prioritize resources, and build strategic internal and external relationships.
• Approximately 60% travel in the assigned region and nationally is required.
