Systems Assembler I

Location: Aurora, Ohio, USA; onsite manufacturing environment. Monday–Thursday, 5:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

Salary: $20.00–$26.40 per hour, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Assemble and repair industrial pumps, degassing equipment, and mechanical systems using blueprints, sketches, and work instructions.
• Interpret engineering drawings and perform equipment setup, adjustments, and mechanical fitting to design tolerances.
• Conduct first-piece inspections and functional testing to verify product quality.
• Use hand tools, power tools, hoists, tow motors, and precision measuring equipment.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues in collaboration with Engineering.
• Support continuous improvement, train team members on assembly processes, and maintain a safe, organized workplace.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of mechanical or manufacturing assembly experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly instructions.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment, and precision measuring devices.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, basic math and measurement skills, and a focus on quality workmanship.
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain it.

Nice to have

• Experience with electrical controls.
• Knowledge of hydraulic or pump systems.
• Experience with quality inspections, root-cause troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
