Multispecialty Medical Writer, Accredited Medical Education

Location: United States; preference for being based in Monroe, New Jersey, with remote candidates considered. Travel approximately 15–20% for project-related work and office-based meetings. A hybrid work schedule is available.

Compensation: $85,000–$95,000 per year, depending on qualifications, with eligibility for an annual bonus program or commission incentive.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain expertise in assigned therapeutic areas, including eye care.
• Conduct literature reviews and identify relevant clinical data and scientific insights.
• Write and edit peer-reviewed publications, trade journal articles, monographs, slide decks, scripts, and digital programs.
• Review manuscripts and slide presentations at multiple stages for clarity, accuracy, scientific quality, and image and figure permissions.
• Fact-check referenced literature and ensure compliance with ACCME, COPE, regulatory, AMA, and internal editorial standards.
• Collaborate with Medical Directors and colleagues on grant proposals, CE-certified initiatives, and new educational formats.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in medical communications or medical writing preferred.
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex scientific and clinical data into accessible, practical communications.
• Familiarity with AMA style and medical publishing standards.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Advanced degree such as OD, PhD, MS, RN, MD, or PharmD preferred, with relevant eye care clinical exposure.
