Salary: $43,880–$62,685 per year, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographic location.

What you will do

  • Review federal, state, and local regulations and determine air permit applicability.
  • Analyze client data and develop air emission inventories.
  • Prepare air quality permit applications and coordinate permitting activities between clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Develop design options and recommendations and support technical deliverables.
  • Calculate potential and actual emissions and estimate impacts using air dispersion modeling.
  • Work independently on small projects or support senior personnel on larger air quality projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Meteorology, or a closely related field.
  • 1–2 years of industry experience in consulting or other air quality work preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel may be required.
  • Commitment to active participation in an employee-owned culture.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Clean Air Act permitting.
  • Experience with emissions calculations and state construction and operating permit programs.
  • Knowledge of PSD, Title V, NSPS, NESHAP, MACT, or CAM regulations.
  • Air dispersion modeling or stack testing experience.
