Lead Analyst, Credit Analytics (Fintech)

What you will do

• Design, document, recommend, and execute consumer credit underwriting and pricing strategies.
• Extract and analyze historical customer performance data from multiple disparate systems.
• Develop, test, and implement strategies using data query tools and decision tree analytical software.
• Apply regression models and machine learning algorithms to identify key drivers and estimate customer behavior.
• Optimize strategies across the full credit cycle to support profitable growth, loss mitigation, and portfolio health.
• Implement quality control, improve reporting through automation, and present results and insights to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, statistics, economics, business management, computer science, or another quantitative discipline; graduate education is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience solving complex, data-driven problems. A master’s or PhD may offset experience.
• Experience with R, SAS, SQL, MATLAB, or Python and analytical modeling techniques.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision, investigate data, apply critical thinking, and communicate findings effectively.
