Infusion RN - Woodbury (Oncology)

Location: Woodbury, Minnesota, United States; onsite oncology clinic role

What you will do

• Provide professional nursing care for adolescent, adult, middle-aged, and elderly oncology patients.
• Prepare and administer physician-directed therapies, medications, blood products, and continuous drug infusions.
• Assess patients and laboratory results, support dose modifications, and consult physicians on treatment and symptom-management issues.
• Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central-line catheter devices.
• Program and maintain ambulatory infusion pumps and instruct patients or caregivers in home use.
• Document patient care and treatments, support pre-authorization and consent processes, and apply reimbursement and charge-capture procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited professional nursing education program; BSN preferred.
• 3+ years of nursing experience preferred, including preferably at least one year in oncology.
• Current RN license and registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state are required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Maintain continuing-education requirements and current oncology nursing knowledge.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, handle and lift patients, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
