Associate Editor, Clinical Communications (AI)

Location: United States; hybrid work schedule

Salary: $50,000–$55,000 per year, depending on qualifications, with eligibility for an annual bonus program or commission incentive.

What you will do

• Research clinical and scientific topics and prepare preliminary content for educational slide decks, video scripts, discussion guides, publications, and promotional materials.
• Acquire, organize, archive, and format studies, article PDFs, citations, reference lists, and annotations.
• Review outlines, slides, transcripts, layouts, tables, and figures for consistency, accuracy, style, and clinical relevance.
• Conduct fact-checking against primary literature and verify faculty names, credentials, affiliations, and referenced content.
• Develop storyboards and editing grids with time codes, quality-check studio video edits, and support publication and slide production using InCopy.
• Implement MLR and Promotional Review Committee edits while managing multiple concurrent deliverables and changing priorities.

Requirements

• Strong scientific writing, editing, research, fact-checking, and reference-formatting skills.
• Active use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or AI-assisted research platforms for literature research, drafting, reference organization, or editorial workflows.
• Ability to verify AI-generated content against primary literature while maintaining scientific accuracy and compliance.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical promotional review processes, including MLR and PRC workflows, and FDA regulations for promotional educational content.
• Strong organization and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, communications, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with InCopy, slide formatting, storyboard development, or video production workflows.
• Advanced degree in a relevant field.
• Examples of AI-assisted editorial, research, or clinical communications workflows that improved quality or turnaround time.
