Party Chief (Land Surveying)

Location: Richmond, Virginia, United States; primarily onsite and 95% outdoors

Salary: USD $28.00–$40.00 per hour

What you will do

• Conduct topographic, boundary, subdivision, ALTA, construction layout, and as-built surveys.
• Collect accurate, high-quality survey data and maintain clear field notes.
• Operate levels, robotic total stations, and electronic data collectors.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of survey equipment.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Train survey crew members in equipment use and field techniques while following safety and PPE requirements.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as a SUE Crew Leader preferred.
• High school diploma.
• Effective communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform outdoor field work with exposure to vehicle traffic, sun, environmental noise, and mechanical equipment.
